My name is Angela Maloney. I am of the Ta’neezahnii (Tangle/Ladder People). Born for the To Dich’ii’nii (Bitterwater People). Maternal grandfather is Ashiihi (Salt People).
Paternal grandfather is Tse Deeshgiizhnii (Rock Gap People). Born and raised on the Navajo Nation I am a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother.
I have a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science & Allied Health from Northern Arizona University, and a Masters Degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University. I spent over 40 years working for Indian Health Services, the Bureau for Indian Affairs, and at the Tuba City Medical Center. Healthcare is a human right. I have witnessed the effects of lack of access to healthcare facilities and spent my career expanding/improving healthcare infrastructure across the Navajo Nation.

Environmental Health Services and Injury Prevention Program oversight for the Kayenta, Winslow and Tuba City Service Units. Gathered research and did inspections to ensure compliance with environmental health standards. Improved safety along State Route 89 by addressing road safety and improving public education around dangers of driving under the influence.

Our people are lured into deceptive promises of help and shelter with a promise of helping them to get back on their feet. I have lived the challenges of my constituents. I did not know the importance of how voting
impacted our everyday lives until our healthcare funding was almost taken away. Our people need to
know or be taught the importance of voting as it affects every aspect of our lives in the future.
